I’m a gypsy cleaning pro, I douse my patio in bleach and hose down my fake grass, people ask if it’s safe but I LOVE it

WE all love having a clean home and then, there are those of us that can’t wait to get the bleach out.

One cleaning whizz has revealed that she loves the product so much, she’ll use an entire bottle on her patio – despite the backlash on TikTok.

If you are following Chantelle on TikTok, prepare to get serious home envy.

Like others in the traveller community, she loves to have a tidy home and there is rarely a day that goes by when she isn’t cleaning.

Not only does she make her bed every single day and add lines to her mats with a damp cloth, but the domestic goddess gets through endless bottles of bleach.

In a now-viral video, she showed herself cleaning off the kitchen countertops with sweet-smelling Fabulousa for a spick and span home.

However, the cleaning queen is far from done.

While most of us would have finished the chores and had some well-earned rest, Chantelle is already planning the next area to tackle.

She even goes to the trouble of cleaning her small patch of artificial grass, by hosing it down.

The cleaning whizz will even pour neat bleach onto her patio and her dogs’ pens.

Having done this, she will then give both spaces a good scrub with a hard bristled brush before hosing them down with water.

Showing how effective this was at removing algae from her patio, the stonework practically glistened in the now-viral video.

In a voice-over, she confessed: “I love the smell of bleach. Honestly, I’m weird.”

Despite her impressive cleaning tip, not everyone was impressed with her efforts and as the video went viral, some even asked if it was safe.

Noting how much she used, one complained: “Using bleach outside isn’t good for the soil… it just seeps into the soil {and it is] a nightmare for the ecosystem.”

Another added: “Wondering is it safe to use the bleach outside for the dog?”

“You will end up blinding your dog with the bleach…” argued a third.

Others were obsessed with Chantelle’s incredibly clean space, with a fourth writing: “The smell of bleach it’s amazing I swear I know nobody who likes the smell of it.”

“Ohh I’m so glad I come across you’re TikTok! I saw your cleaning hack videos on YouTube! Loved them!!!” gushed a fifth.

While we all love a clean home, it’s best to keep bleached based products away from your pooch[/caption]

As the debate rumbles on in the comments, it is worth noting that bleach is safe to use – provided you follow certain rules.

The common household cleaning product can be highly toxic to pets as it contains chlorine, which is harmful to many animals when swallowed.

Alarmingly, it can also damage your dog’s fur.

Despite this, plenty of clinics and vets still rely on the cheap cleaning product.

According to the animal charity Blue Cross, you should always keep animals away when using bleach and ideally, they should remain out of the space until it is completely dry.

This is because bleach can easily transfer onto your beloved pooch when the surface is wet, with it soaking into their fur or being licked up.

If you are using bleach, you’ll also need to make sure it is properly diluted with water and rinsed off before allowing the space to air dry.

The more you know, eh?
