Supermarket makes major change to its iconic logo branded ‘gorgeous’ by shoppers – can you spot the difference?
A MAJOR supermarket has announced it is making a change to its iconic logo and shoppers say it’s a “refreshing change.”
Asda has experimented with its green colour palette and shoppers say the new logo has a “gorgeous finish”.

The supermarket said it picked the colours based on extensive customer research and feedback.
Asda hasn’t confirmed which part of its brand will be using the new logo but it has released images of the new logo on bags, billboards and online.
Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter to praise the new brand logo and colour scheme.
One user said: “Love it. One of the best brand refreshes in years. What a great and simple canvas to play with. So fun. So clean.”
“Love this! The personality really shines through,” said another.
“Love it! Perfect tone of voice and great progression of the existing distinctive assets” said a third user.
A fourth user said: “Great stuff and some gorgeously playful copy. Well done.”
David Hills, chief customer officer at Asda, said: “The launch of our new brand identity is a milestone moment in the evolution of our strategy.
“Our brand has a tremendous heritage and is much loved by the Great British public.
“We hope this new look and feel will help us stand out in the grocery market – bringing to life our personality and reigniting the strong emotional connection customers have for the Asda brand.”
The brand has also announced it’s launching a light-hearted summer campaign called “Serious About Summer”.
The playful campaign aims to highlight the value of the retailer’s home, food and gardening summer ranges.
Throughout the summer, customers may also spot a “Nan-poline” advertisement to highlight the retailers ‘midweek meals’ inspiration and offers, and a sports day-themed ad.
The news comes after the retailer announced it would be opening 21 new locations at the start of the year.
Last year the retailer struck a £438 million deal to buy out 132 Co-op sites as it looks to expand the number of its convenience-format stores.
The deal included 116 retail sites with attached petrol stations, plus three development sites.
In October 2023, Asda opened 14 new Asda Express stores across the UK.
The retailer plans to have opened 356 new locations in total by 2026.
