Sharing a photo of himself with Ali in happier times, Gok described himself as being “overwhelmed with grief.”

He wrote:  “After many years of fighting, Ali has finally ended her battle and is now at peace, resting with the stars.

“Ali passed away today with her family by her side. Her wonderful son, Tash, who she loved with all her might, reassured us Ali was not in pain and comfortable.”

Gok added: “We spent many years preparing for this moment but no amount of talks or planning could have prepared me for this overwhelming pain.

“I miss her so much already. Her wisdom. Her smile. Her naughtiness. Her kind touch. Her everything.”

Now, while he processes his grief, the TV fashion guru has paid a trip to the tattoo parlour for a highly colourful inking of a fruitmachine, featuring his late friend’s initials.

Unveiling the tattoo on social media he wrote: “New ink day, Alison Gordon Parry aka, Fanny Mcphee.”

A slew of followers rushed to comment: One said: “Beautiful tribute Gok.”

Another said: “She will be there with you forever.”

Meanwhile another fan who clearly knew Ali added: “A perfect tribute to the wonderful woman that is Ali.”

Based in Australia, Gok’s friend Ali who had been battling stage 4 breast cancer, was in the UK in February, where she stayed for two months, spending some quality time with Gok.

After he left he said he felt ‘shattered’ but described their time together as “magical” and said he was overjoyed the shared the time they ‘never thought they’d have’ before she flew back to “amazing son and family.”

Following the news of her passing, Gok was inundated with support from some his close friends in showbusiness.

His This Morning co-star Alison Hammond said:  This Morning “So sorry about your loss Gok , how lovely to have had a special friend like Ali . Love to you and her family and friends . Rip.”

Made in Chelsea’s Ollie Locke wrote: “Oh darling, She was so loved and so many wonderful memories, she was one in a million! Thinking of you today!”

And Lisa Snowdon added: “Gok. Darling. I’m sending you so much love. What a wonderful woman and how lucky you both were to have found one another and shared so much, the laughter, the love, the dancing, so many special moments.”
