Excise policy scam: SC gives Arvind Kejriwal liberty to move trial court for regular bail

The Supreme Court of India granted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal permission to seek regular bail from the trial court in a money laundering case related to the alleged excise policy scam. The court reserved its order on Kejriwal's challenge to his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The ED has filed a chargesheet against Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party, naming the party as an accused. Kejriwal received interim bail from the Supreme Court until June 1 to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, after which he must return to jail.
