Liverpool’s post-Jurgen Klopp exodus begins with TWO stars released including Premier League and Champions League winner

LIVERPOOL have announced that two other popular names will leave the club this summer as the Jurgen Klopp era comes to an end.

Defender Joel Matip, 32, is set to depart Anfield after eight years at the club when his contract expires in June along with 33-year-old midfielder Thiago Alcantara.

Cameroon international Matip was one of Klopp’s first signings when he arrived as a free agent following a spell at Schalke 04.

And he played a key role under the German in securing a number of trophies, including the Premier League title, for the club.
