FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Thursday Evening,

It has been a beautiful day today with plenty of sunshine, and highs a few degrees above normal in the upper 70s to near 80. Clouds will increase overnight tonight with a chance of showers increasing toward daybreak on Friday with lows in the lower 60s. Friday we will see scattered rain showers and pop-up storms possible through the day, with highs still in the middle 70s.

The bulk of the showers and storms will not be strong, but could be slow movers, producing periods of moderate to heavy rain showers in spots. This wave of moisture will move east by late Friday. But a secondary low will travel to the south of us Friday night into Saturday.

This will keep clouds in our area overnight with a chance of showers. These chances will increase with scattered pop-up storms on Saturday, with the best chance in the south half of the state (south of I-70). The better chances of rain will also be earlier in the day on Saturday, with the low slowly pulling away by late day, and this should taper down the rain chances by evening, with highs in the middle 70s.

Sunday, can't rule out an isolated pop-up mainly in the south & southeast, with more sunshine expected, and highs climbing back up near 80. We will see mainly sunny skies on Monday with highs in the lower 80s. Temps will surge on Tuesday with isolated late day pop-ups possible.

Wednesday expect much better chances of rain and storms with a front pushing across the area late in the day with highs in the upper 70s to near 80. Rain and storms will end Wednesday night with clearing skies on Thursday. Temps will drop into the upper 70s on Thursday with plenty of sunshine.
