Missed the northern lights? Planets to align in the sky this summer

0

NEW YORK (PIX11) – A rare celestial event is set to grace the sky next month and you won't need special glasses or an exact location to see it.

A large planetary alignment, known as a planet parade, will be mostly visible to the naked eye just before dawn on June 3.

Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune will be on display. You'll need high-powered binoculars or a telescope to see Uranus and Neptune.

The same alignment will also happen on Aug. 28.
