This must have been incredibly difficult

Over the last year and a half to two years, Cooper Flagg has become a phenomenon, one of the most highly hyped basketball recruits in recent memory.

At 6-9, he has been called a generational talent and, though it’s really too soon for this, is widely seen as the #1 pick in next year’s NBA Draft.

Everyone looks forward to his future, but in this article, his parents look back to two challenging pregnancies. Most people know that Cooper has a twin brother named Ace and an older brother named Hunter, but most people probably didn't know that the Flaggs actually had two sets of twins. Hunter’s twin brother Ryder only lived two days.

Kelly Flagg had a very difficult time with her first pregnancy and husband Ralph didn’t want to have any more children after such a physically and emotionally challenging first pregnancy.

In fact, after the first pregnancy, she called her second one “terrifying,” and you can certainly understand why.

It’s always good to see past the headlines and the hype. The Flaggs are riding an amazing wave with Cooper and although he hasn’t come close to where Cooper is yet, Ace is also turning out to be an excellent player, . It’s always good to be reminded that even the most celebrated among us have trials and tribulations. It’s nice to see the Flaggs, a basketball family to its core, have come so far from the lowest point imaginable.
