GEMMA Collins has revealed she was paid £75,000 for her infamous three-day stint on I’m A Celebrity.

Gemma, made famous from her time on Towie, was slammed for her diva behaviour on Ant and Dec’s ITV show – complaining: “People who murder get treated better than this” and insisting: “Jungle life is not for me.”

She claims to have been suffering from a secret trauma having been “beaten up and robbed” the night before she left Essex.

Speaking on the Everything I Know About Me podcast, Gemma said: “Can you imagine getting the biggest TV show, getting paid £75,000 which was a hell of a lot of money then, and then getting beaten up, then getting robbed?

“That upset me, and then all of the embarrassment of what the TV programmes were saying: ‘ Gemma Collins left the jungle, she was hungry’, and it wasn’t my fault.

“I remember laying in my flat where I lived, and just thinking: ‘I just want to die. I haven’t done anything wrong; I’ve left the jungle because of something that happened to me.'”

Gemma added: “No one was even honest about what happened to me, so I had to walk around with this shame that I’d done something wrong. I mean, that I’m gutted about because I feel like I was robbed of my moment and then I was also made to feel like the worst person on earth.”

Gemma made TV gold when she joined the ITV reality series in November 2014, but she quit after just 72 hours in the Aussie outback.

She got off to a rocky start when she refused to parachute into the camp with the other contestants.

At the time, GC admitted that she “never should have got on to the plane to go” – and said that she would be donating her fee to charity.
