Police identify fatalities in White Creek crash

WHITE CREEK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State Police have identified the two people who died in Wednesday morning's White Creek crash. Police say Tricia Daigneault, 29, Hoosick Falls, and Shumeka Mentor, 39, Albany, both succumbed to their injuries on the scene.

Police responded at 6:11 a.m. to a head-on crash on Route 22 in White Creek. Both were driving and there were no passengers in either car.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing. State Route 22 was closed for roughly seven hours following the crash.
