BJP factional feud erupts in Assam over alleged vote spoilage & worker neglect

The conflict between old and new factions within the BJP has become public in Assam. MLA Mrinal Saikia accused cabinet minister Jayanta Mallabaruah of harming the party's votes due to his communication style during the 2024 general elections. Saikia appealed to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to intervene and advise Mallabaruah to refrain from discussing party matters. Mallabaruah had previously highlighted the significance of dedication to the party, prompting Saikia's criticism. Meanwhile, former Union minister Rajen Gohain criticized the party's neglect of workers, warning of repercussions across the country.
