Heatwave alert for northwest India; mercury may hit 45 deg C in Delhi
Heatwave conditions are expected to hit northwest India in the next five days, with Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Delhi being the most affected. A new heatwave spell will also begin over east and central India from May 18. The mercury could rise to 45 degrees Celsius in Delhi by Saturday.
