Green and Blue Dials Meet Pink Gold in Girard-Perregaux’s Latest Laureato Models

0

In 1975, Girard-Perregaux launched the first Laureato, a luxury sports timepiece characterized by a variety of shapes that were brought together to form a coherent and unmistakable aesthetic. A closer look reveals an octagonal bezel resting on a circular base, which in turn rests on an angular tonneau-shaped case.

The contours of the different shapes are accentuated by the interplay of meticulously polished and satinized surfaces that characterize both the steel and gold versions.

After the titanium-clad Laureato Chronograph Ti49 which was announced in March 2024, Girard-Perregaux now adds two pink-gold executions in 42mm cases to the product family. Both feature gorgeous colorways, one in sage green and one in ultramarine blue. Their hues are enhanced by the signature Clous de Paris pattern, which creates a beautiful play of light and shadow and serves as a beautiful backdrop for the brand logo at 12 o’clock, the ten gold baton markers and baton hour-and minute hands, which are coated with a luminescent material that emits a green glow at night. There is also a date indication on board, displayed through a window at 3 o’clock.

The Laureato 42mm Pink Gold Sage Green and Ultramarine Blue watches are powered by the brand’s manufacture Calibre GP01800 with a power reserve of 54 hours. This self-winding movement comprising 191 components is finished and decorated to the highest standards. The main plate is adorned with circular graining, while some components feature bevelling, mirror polishing, satin finish and various engravings. The bridges are decorated with straight Côtes de Genève and the pink gold oscillating weight is embellished with circular Côtes de Genève

The Girard-Perregaux Laureato 42mm Pink Gold Sage Green and Ultramarine Blue are available with color-coordinated leather straps with pricing marked at $35,400 and with an integrated bracelet in pink gold with a price tag of $51,900.
