Rainy day, sunshine returns briefly Thursday, more rain coming
Low pressure will drift slowly east across the upper Ohio Valley, promoting lingering periods of rain and a few embedded thundershowers. Temperatures will struggle to climb out of the 60s under a heavy cloud cover.
Skies will remain mostly cloudy tonight, with showers tapering before midnight, as low pressure moves off to the east. Morning lows will be in the upper 50s.
High pressure will bring drier weather Thursday, along with a warming trend, as readings reach the upper 70s under partly sunny skies in the afternoon.
Another storm system will approach the region on Friday, accompanied by showers and storms that will linger into Saturday. The weather should gradually become drier on Sunday.
