Police investigating fatal crash in Niskayuna

NISKAYUNA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Niskayuna Police Department is investigating a fatal crash on Troy-Schenectady Road. The crash occurred on May 14 around 10:03 p.m. near Mohegan and Onondaga Roads.

On Tuesday night, officers and emergency personnel responded to the scene of a one-car crash into a telephone pole. The driver, identified as Shameer Shaw, 22, of Schenectady, succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the scene, according to police.
