Earlier, Chopra secured second place at the Doha Diamond League meeting's javelin throw event, narrowly missing out on the top spot by just two centimeters to Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic. Despite a valiant effort, Chopra trailed behind Vadlejch, who secured victory with a throw of 88.38 meters in the third round.
