Benny Blanco Knows His ‘Next Goal’ With Girlfriend Selena Gomez — & It’s Not the Standard Path

Things are apparently serious between Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez, and he is fully ready to take things to the next step. The producer appeared on The Howard Stern Show and told host Howard Stern that he wants to be a dad.

“That’s my next goal, to check the box,” Blanco said. “I have a ton of god kids; I’ve got a ton of nephews. I love being around kids.”

“It’s always a topic of conversation to me every day,” he insisted when Stern asked if Blanco had this conversation with Gomez.

Ahh! They’re talking about having a Baby Blanco?! It’s so sweet that he’s so committed. But we just know that there are people who are clutching their pearls over the thought of the two having a baby before they’re married. After all, “first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage.” Hasn’t the couple ever heard the all-important rhyme?! (Sike, it’s 2024 and their family planning can look however they want.)

As for whether Blanco has thought about popping the question to his pop singer girlfriend, he sounded more vague, but totally in love.

“I take everything a day at a time and I just know that when I look at her, I just say, ‘I don’t know a world where it could be better than this.’ That’s what I always say to her,” he said.

The actress seems to feel the same way. She confirmed their relationship on Instagram late last year and said he is her “absolute everything” and that she’s “happiest” with him. And who knows — maybe they’ll be even happier if they add a little one to their relationship. It’s sweet to hear that it’s something Blanco wants, but it’s of course something Gomez has to agree to.

The Only Murders in the Building star has previously said that she might not carry children because of her bipolar disorder but that she does want to have a family, per Us Weekly. “However I’m meant to have them, I will,” she told Rolling Stone in Nov. 2022.
