In her viral video, Camila (@camilasalha) filmed the unnamed man as he demonstrated his unique technique.

Rather than mow up the weeds, the man used a household item to remove them from his garden.

Using a cordless Dyson vacuum cleaner, he sucked up the wilted heads of each weed.

“I bet Dyson USA didn’t expect this one,” Camila wrote in the caption of the clip, tagging the business.

“Narrator: We did not in fact, expect this,” the famous vacuum manufacturers replied.

Camila joked that her neighbor asked the brand not to void his warranty over the unusual activity.

TikTok users shared their thoughts on the weeding tip in the comments section.

“This looks like one of those activities you do when cops are at your neighbor’s house,” wrote one viewer.

“Honestly, a pretty eco-friendly way to take care of the problem,” pointed out another follower.

“No chemicals, the plant still decays to create more organic matter in the soil. Win-win.”

“The definition of work smarter, not harder,” commented a third person.

Others pointed out that dandelions are essential for attracting pollinators.

“Dandelions are the first foods of the year for bees. They are good to have on the lawn,” said one TikTok user.

“We need to normalize dandelions. [They have] so many health benefits. And good food source for pollinators. No pollinators, no food crops,” pointed out another person.

“Just release them when you’re done. Get that pollinator garden,” suggested one viewer.

How to get rid of weeds

Tony Williams is the Estate Manager at Mount Ephraim Country House & Gardens in the UK.

He revealed to The U.S. Sun the best organic remedies for getting rid of weeds.

Two ingredient mix: “Mix four liters of vinegar, 250 grams of salt, and a tablespoon of soap for a potent weed killer,” he said.

Lemon juice: “Whether freshly squeezed or from a bottle, lemon juice is a simple, natural herbicide,” he revealed.

Boiling water: “Pouring boiling water on weeds can kill them instantly without harming nearby plants,” he said.

Diluted rubbing alcohol: “Spray this solution on weeds to induce water loss and effectively kill them,” he said.

Hand-picking: “Focus on removing them early, especially notorious ones like dandelions, to prevent seeds from scattering,” he said.

The experts at Rent Mason Bees broke down the benefits of the flower.

“In the early spring, dandelions serve as a primary food source for bees and other pollinators as they emerge after the winter season,” they explained.

“Being among the first flowers to bloom, dandelions play a crucial role in providing bees with essential nectar.”

The professionals added that dandelions provide nectar for over 100 species of insects and feed over 30 species of other wildlife.

“Their presence alone attracts and supports several key species in the local ecosystem, which in turn pollinate fruits, vegetables, and herbs,” they said.
