‘Rishabh Pant Is An Instinctual Captain’: Sourav Ganguly Hails DC Skipper After Win Against Lucknow

New Delhi: Delhi Capitals’ Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly lavished praise on captain Rishabh Pant after his franchise beat Lucknow Super Giants in the 64th match of the Indian Premier League which was played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Pant has made his comeback in cricket after recovering from injuries he got in a car accident in December 2022.

After win against LSG, DC are on number five in the points table tally with 14 points and are currently alive in the playoffs race. Pant is in lethal from throughout the tournament as he scored 446 runs in 13 outings of the IPL with a high score of 88*. Pant has an average of 40.55 in the ongoing season.

Pant is a young captain, he’ll learn with time. The way he returned from injury to play a full season; we had our doubts during the off-season. Indian players are crucial, especially since the TATA IPL shifted to 10 teams. I am very happy for him that he returned to play so well over a full season. He has all my well-wishes for whatever is next” said Ganguly on Jio Cinema.

With time, he’ll become a better captain. Nobody is a great captain from day one, but he is an instinctual captain, he makes decisions on the ground. With more time, he’ll get better.”

Pant is the part of India’s T20 World Cup sqaud he will travel to USA and West Indies with team India in the marquee event which is scheduled to start from June 02.
