She’s now managed to scoop herself a Bafta, but who is she?

Jasmine Jobson is an actress best known for starring as Jaq in the 2019 Netflix British television crime drama series Top Boy.
She was born May 9, 1995 in Hayes, West London.
As a child Jasmine asked to be separated from her mother by social services and placed into foster care where she lived in West Drayton for five years.
When did Jasmine Jobson start acting?
Jasmine first discovered she had a talent for performing when she was just a child.
When she was around six-years-old showed talent singing by mimicking television stars so her mother enrolled her in Paddington Arts.
After completing her GCSE’s she joined the Big House Theatre which provides drama-based workshops and helps young people who have been through the care system.
Jasmine began her acting career in theatre in plays such as Phoenix: A Girl on Fire and Wild Diamonds at the Hackney Down Studios in 2013.
From 2014 she performed in several short films Flea, A Generation of Vipers, and The King, before debuting on television in 2016 as Kia Hopkins in a single episode of Suspects.

Jasmine has made minor appearances in The Break, Five by Five and Dark Heart.
She then landed a main character role in the 2019 Netflix crime drama series Top Boy.
In 2020 Jasmine starred as Lily in feature film Surge.
Between 2020 and 2024 she was nominated three times for the British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Top Boy.
2024 saw her win the Bafta.
In 2023 the actress landed a role in Platform 7.

Jasmine is currently in a relationship with her Top Boy co-star Kadeem Ramsay.
The pair went public with their romance back in October 2023 when Jasmine shared a photo of the couple sharing a kiss.
They first sparked relationship rumours in July of that year when they were pictured looking pretty cosy at an event in London.
Then in October a source told The Sun: “Jasmine and Kadeem have been quietly dating for some time and are often seen out and about together.
“Since the series ended they have become more relaxed and Jasmine has started giving glimpses of her love life on social media.”
Jasmine has since turned the comments off the relationship announcement post and urged her followers to “be kind”.
She shared a story which read: “I’m an ACTRESS. My job is to play dress-up and pretend, take a script and make it palatable for your eyes to watch.
“I am also a HUMAN BEING, LIKE ALL OF YOU, just living my life. Be kind.”
