Philippines sees remittances rise 2.6 pct in March

MANILA, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Personal remittances from overseas Filipinos reached 3.05 billion U.S. dollars in March, recording a 2.6 percent growth year-on-year, the Philippine central bank said on Wednesday.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said the cumulative personal remittances in the first quarter amounted to 9.15 billion dollars, 2.8 percent higher than the amount in the same period in 2023.
