India's trade deficit widens to $19.1 billion in April

India's merchandise trade deficit expanded to $19.1 billion in April, according to Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal. This figure marks a widening from March's 11-month low of $15.6 billion. Merchandise exports saw a modest 1.06% increase year-on-year, totaling $34.99 billion.
