I staged an EPIC setup when my girl lost her first teeth – trolls call it ‘materialism’ but I don’t care, she loved it
A MUM has sparked debate after staging an epic setup for her daughter after she lost her first teeth.
De’Asia explained that her five-year-old had to have some teeth pulled out because her adult teeth were ready to come through.
So to mark the occasion, and to cheer daughter Kah’Mora up after the procedure, De’Asia went all out for ‘Fiona’ the tooth fairy’s arrival, and shared the results in an Instagram Reel.
She’d sprinkled glitter all over the floor and in the toilet bowl, with a note on the seat that said: “I hope you don’t mind, I had to sprinkle, Fiona”.
De’Asia then panned the camera across to the sink, which was also covered in glitter.
Alongside the sink was some money, fake nails, nail polish, hair scrunchies and My Little Pony, Trolls and Gabby’s Dollhouse toys.
There were also two baby dolls, mouthwash, toothpaste, a new toothbrush and a cup and straw.
De’Asia then showed the ‘receipt’ taped onto the window, which showed that Kah’Mora had lost two teeth in April.
‘Fiona’ had also written on the note: “OMG Kah’Mora. Congrats on losing your first two teeth.
“I know you didn’t get to lose it naturally but that’s okay – a win is a win.
“I did hear that you have cavities and that’s not a good thing, please make sure to brush your teeth and floss every day.
“In the meantime, enjoy your gifts from my friends and I at TFC. Oh, and absolutely no candy!
“Until next time!”
While Kah’Mora was clearly thrilled with the effort her mum had gone into for the setup, De’Asia was still inundated with comments from trolls too.
“Tooth fairy doingg tooooo muchhh,” one wrote.
“Scattering some petals and leaving a dollar with a special note would have been more magical,” another added.
“This is just materialism!”
“Y’all do too much…” a third said.
“Why with all the glitter?” someone else asked.
“We don’t need that in our water system. You guys will be enjoying glitter until to you move from that house!”
“Hard pass,” another raged.
However, others were quick to defend De’Asia, insisting she’d just wanted the day to be special for her little girl.
“Ain’t no way people that mad over this,” one wrote.
“Why are y’all so pressed over her doing something special for HER child?” another added.
“Emphasis on HER CHILD.”
“This daughter will never have to go to therapy to ‘heal her inner child’,” a third wrote.
“This is what happy, healthy girlhood looks like.
“These are the kind of events that she talks about for a long time.”
