Preview: Rangers (H)
Hibernian Women take on Rangers in our penultimate SWPL1 fixture of the 2023/24 season.
THE LOWDOWN
Kick-off is 6pm at Meadowbank Stadium on Wednesday 15th May.
The midweek game is Hibs' final home game of the campaign.
Grant Scott's side head into the clash in high spirits following Friday night's Edinburgh Derby victory.
Jorian Baucom opened the scoring in the second half, before Lia Tweedie scored a wonderful volley in the 90th minute to wrap up all three points.
A win on Wednesday evening would secure fifth-place for the Hibees in the SWPL1 league table.
THE OPPOSITION
Rangers come into the fixture knowing what is at stake for them with two league games remaining.
Jo Potter's outfit are currently in second-place in the SWPL1 table with 76 points - the same amount as first-place Celtic.
Whilst level on points with their city rivals, the Gers are have a 15-goal differential to overcome should they be unable to better Celtic's results by the season's end.
When it comes to meetings between Hibs and Rangers, Wednesday's visitors have come out on top on four occasions this season.
An October thrashing preceded three meetings in quick succession in March.
The most recent clash, on 31st March, ended in a narrow 2-1 defeat for the Hibees on the road.
