Louisiana man arrested for 30 counts of criminal sexual conduct
RAPIDES PARISH, La. (WNTZ) - On March 25, 2024, Detectives with Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit were contacted by Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives that during one of their investigations, they discovered possible criminal sexual conduct had allegedly occurred in Rapides Parish. Sheriff’s Detectives with the Special Victims Unit were notified and began their investigation.
Through their investigation, SVU Detectives were able to determine that a crime had occurred in Rapides Parish involving a juvenile and a suspect was identified as Dakota Wayne Ray, 27, of Ball. As their investigation continued, Detectives were able to establish sufficient probable cause that supported the original allegations.
SVU Detectives obtained warrants for Ray’s arrest and on April 29, 2024, Ray was located and taken into custody without incident and booked into Rapides Parish Detention Center on fifteen counts Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile and fifteen counts Indecent Behavior with Juveniles. Ray was later released on a $30,000.00 bond.
