Keke Palmer’s Delightful New Video of Baby Leo Proves He Got One Thing From His Mama

0

Although 14-month-old baby Leodis “Leo” may look more like his dad Darius Jackson, he acts just like his mama Keke Palmer. And no, we don’t just mean his sass! The Nope star shared a new video of her toddler, revealing one super cute talent she passed onto him.

In a Mother’s Day tribute post, the “Ungorgeous” star shared several photos and videos of her only son, but slide 6 shows that Leo clearly has his mom’s rhythm. Leo is standing next to a chair, holding up on the armrest to reach a toy on the cushion. He’s wearing just a diaper, with his brown hair in messy curls. Palmer tries to get him to say “hello” to no avail, so she switches tactics.

“Can you say, ‘mama’? ‘Mama’? Can you say Mama’s name?” Palmer sings to her son, and immediately, his hips find the beat. He swivels his hips to every single “mama,” with a huge grin on his face.

Palmer continues singing before breaking out into a laugh. “Hips moving on beat!” she praises. “Yeah!”

Another video shows Leo giggling at a teddy bear that has a message from his mom inside. It’s obvious how much he loves his mom’s voice!

“Happy Mother’s Day to every and all mommies!” The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy star captioned the post. “I love being a mom more than I thought I would, and that was a lot already! I want a whole soccer team ????.” She added, “Children are the light of the world and my son is the centerpiece of mine. I’ll do anything for Master Leodis ????????????????????????????????????”

“That boy got that rhythmmm! ????????” one person commented. “All you said was ‘can you say’ and he was ready to dance on beat ????????,” another wrote. What a talented little boy!

Palmer attended the Met Gala last week, where she looked stunning in a custom gold Marc Jacobs gown, which she felt represented where she is in life. “With the theme ‘Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion,’ meshed with what’s actually happening in my life as a new mom and stepping into the year being 30, I do think both of those things in my life and what I’m trying to express, and what Marc is trying to express within the art, all align,” she told Vanity Fair.

Palmer also attended the Met Gala last year, when Leo was only a couple months old. She shared that experience “reignited in me something that I think I really needed, which was just leaning into the fun that we can have with beauty. I think there’s so much seriousness around it.” She added, “For me, after I became a mom, with years of just being so dolled up, it had a new meaning to me where it was kind of like I found a strength and power in putting on my best looks and putting my best foot forward.”

Her life isn’t all haute couture and magical moments, though. On Monday, Palmer shared a funny video of her making little strawberry cakes from a Easy Bake Oven kit that made us nostalgic. “I don’t cook! But you know what I do, DO? EASY BAKE ???????? Sorta,” she jokingly captioned the clip.

Baby Leo has such a fun mom, and we can’t wait to see how else he is like her when he grows up!
