But now viewers have an eager bigger complaint as they tuned in for their second helping.
They’ve been left seething over the way contestants Abbie and Will speak to their mothers.
Abbie isn’t shy about telling her mum Tracey to “shut up” while Will and his mum Jo-Anne are like chalk and cheese.
Taking to social media, one fan commented: “Tracie is a div, but the way Abbie speaks to her is awful.”
A second wrote: “Abbie and Will speak to their mothers absolutely disgracefully.”
“I’m putting it out there. Abbie’s a bit of a d***. Especially towards her mum for no reason,” blasted a third.
While a fourth commented: “Wow Will speaks to his mother absolutely appallingly!”
Speaking about The Fortune Hotel, host Stephen told virginradio.co.uk: “There’s intrigue, there’s drama.
“There’s a lot of comedy. It’s very funny.
“But there are alliances formed. People help each other or throw each other under the bus.
“The most joyous thing for me is the fact that they’re in pairs.
“So you get to see mother and daughter have a go at each other because they don’t think they’re doing it right, or best mates, their relationship either flourishing or floundering.
“It’s just a really intriguing, exciting, adventurous game show.”
