Saratoga Springs opens parking permit registration
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Saratoga Springs Department of Public Works and Public Safety opened public parking permit registration to residents on Tuesday, May 14. The permits are free and for city-owned parking garages and surface lots.
Residents can apply for a permit on the city's Patron Portal, and seasonal paid parking will begin on Monday, June 10. Employees in the downtown area are issued a parking permit through a different process, and Saratoga Springs Library permits will be issued by and at the library.
Saratoga Springs DPW Commissioner Jason Golub said the permits were a key goal in the seasonal parking program to provide a better experience for residents and visitors. "You’ll notice that DPW is already working to improve the downtown experience as we finish paving a large section of Broadway today, fix trip hazards, remove diseased and plant new trees, fix joints in the parking garages, and remove years of graffiti on the parking structures," he said.
