NATIONAL SUMMARY

A storm traveling across the eastern United States will

bring rain and cooler conditions to the Northeast tomorrow.

Meanwhile, showers and thunderstorms will occur across much

of the Ohio Valley and the Southeast. Some thunderstorms can

bring gusty winds and hail across the Carolinas as well as

in central Florida. Another storm will begin to take shape

in the center of the country, bringing showers and

thunderstorms across much of the Plains and the Rockies.

Some thunderstorms can become severe from Kansas to

west-central Texas during the afternoon and evening, and can

produce large hail, locally damaging winds and isolated

tornadoes. With the exception of a thundershower in the

higher elevations, much of the West Coast will experience

dry and warm weather as high pressure remains in control.
