Coronation Street star Sam Aston’s wife gives birth to couple’s third child and reveals sweet name
CORONATION Street star Sam Aston is now a dad of three after his wife welcomed their third child.
Briony, 28, gave birth a week ago to a little girl and today Sam, 30, has shared the first picture of their newborn.
The Chesney Brown actor and his other half are already parents to Sonny, three, and 18-month-old Daisy.
Sam wrote on Instagram: “Welcome to the world…Hazel Marie Aston.”
He then shared the date of Hazel’s birth, May 7 and that she weighed 8lbs 15oz.
He described the collection of photographs as “precious moments” being captured.
Briony looks to have had a water birth at home, with Sam by her side.
The Corrie star shares a kiss with his wife as she cradles their newborn in the water tub.
Briony was pregnant with twins before losing one of the babies to “vanishing twin syndrome”.
Sam has played Chesney in the ITV soap since 2003.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Briony said: “It’s a girl!”
She confessed: “I had a strong feeling that it was a boy, right from the very beginning I was so convinced. We even had a boy’s name already.
“So to then find out that it’s a girl, it makes me feel that maybe the twin we lost was a boy.”
