Fendi Nails the Tool Belt

With 99 years of fine fashion under its leather-trimmed tool belt, Fendi has spent nearly a century building a reputation for luxury and reliability. But, with tools such as these, that’s no surprise.

Unveiled in Florence last June, the label’s latest summer collection stitches together form and function with motifs of home hardware, prints of pattern-cutting chalk, and industrial apron-like silhouettes. But the most riveting release is this: a sturdy, hammer-toting harness tooled up with scissors, chisels, bradawls, and pencils.

Next year, for the brand’s carefully constructed centenary, we’re expecting yet more curios and surprises. But, for now, Fendi is keeping those celebrations — just like its tools — close to its chest.
