A woman was taken to the hospital for treatment after being shot in the arm Monday afternoon, police said. The shooting took place shortly after 4 p.m. on the 300 block of South Pearl Street.
2. Williams College students shutting down encampment
Williams College students said they’ll pack up the pro-Palestine encampment Monday night. That’s because they’ve negotiated with the school’s administration and have locked in meetings with the board of trustees.
3. Mohonasen reflects on 1-year of educating asylee children
It has been almost a year since the first bus carrying asylum seekers from New York City arrived in the Capital Region. Some local school districts stepped up to provide the children of asylum seekers an education.
4. Boil water advisory in effect for Gloversville
There is a boil water advisory for part of Gloversville in effect until further notice. This will affect VanWyck Street between South Judson Street and Forest Street.
5. Lineup announced for Albany’s Alive at Five concert series
The lineup for Albany’s 2024 Alive at Five concert series has been announced. The free concert series runs on Thursdays from June 6 to August 1, except July 4, from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
