Fresh off of taking three of four from the AL Central-leading Cleveland Guardians, your Chicago White Sox welcome the Washington Nationals to the South Side for a three-game set. The Pale Hose are a surprising 6-4 in their last 10 games, despite sleepwalking through a Mother’s Day matinee yesterday. Fear not, Sox faithful, the South Siders still hold firmly to the bottom rung of the American League, while maintaining the worst run differential in the majors (and their -90 through 41 games is tied for the 24th-worst start in major league history). Their recent bout of slightly-better-than-inept play has them a game-and-a-half ahead of the Miami Marlins for the worst record in all of baseball.
Better, sure. Good? Not exactly.
