Heavy rains in Kerala, IMD issues orange alert in two districts

Kerala has been hit by heavy rains, bringing an end to a week of heatwaves. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert in two out of 14 districts, while eight districts in the southern state have yellow alerts. The IMD also predicted thunderstorms with moderate rainfall and gusty winds.
