Nights don’t get much bigger than this.
Manchester City travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium knowing that anything but maximum points will leave rivals Arsenal as favourites to clinch the Premier League title.
The Cityzens enter the contest in second position, a single point behind Mikel Arteta’s side with a worse goal difference (+61 vs +58).
If they beat Tottenham and West Ham on the final day of the season at the Etihad Stadium, a sixth title in seven years is theirs – no ifs ands or buts.
But a loss or defeat in the capital and Arsenal will simply need to beat Everton to lift their first title in over 20 years (barring a big swing in goal difference).
There’s another element in the mix with Tottenham needing three points to boost their slim chances of Champions League qualification – but in doing so would help their fiercest rivals.
I think it’s safe to say that there’s plenty at stake on Tuesday.
Arsenal fans will all be going against their instincts to support Tottenham, but the hosts’ form leaves a lot to be desired.
Tottenham have won just one of their last five, and that victory was during a lacklustre 2-1 win over relegated Burnley over the weekend. They’ve also conceded 14 during that run and shipped +3 on three occasions.
History, however, is firmly on their side. Tottenham have won each of their last four top-flight home games against City without conceding a single goal. Under Pep Guardiola, City have also lost more Premier League games against Spurs than they have vs any other opponent.

Tottenham vs Manchester City betting tips
No miracle
Arsenal fans praying for at least a draw might be disappointed. Spurs haven’t drawn ANY of their last 22 home hames in all competitions. So it looks like all or nothing for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
And I’m opting for the nothing option on Tuesday. Manchester City are in scintillating form having won their last five on the spin, scoring 16 goals and conceding just once. They are enjoying an unbeaten streak of 21 league games (W17, D4).
The omens are firmly in Tottenham’s favour, but defensively they are all over the place. Only Burnley have conceded more than Spurs’ 15 efforts on target over the last two matches – while only three sides have shipped more goals (14) over the last five games.
- Manchester City to win and 4 or more goals in the match at 6/5 with William Hill – CLAIM HERE
Josko
It doesn’t take a genius to work out that set pieces could be crucial on Tuesday. Only Arsenal and Everton can better Manchester City’s 17 goals from set plays this season – with 11 of those direct from corners.
Spurs, meanwhile, have conceded 16 goals to set pieces this season with only Nottingham Forest having a worse record.
Manchester City have had 271 corners this season – just three behind Liverpool’s division high of 273. That could benefit defender Josko Gvardiol, who netted a brace over the weekend.
The Croatia international, 22, has had 13 attempts on target in 26 appearances this season, and ranks as City’s fifth-highest for big chances total throughout the entire campaign.
There’s perhaps some recent bias involved, but 17/2 looks a good price given the stats above.
- Josko Gvardiol to score anytime at 17/2 with William Hill – CLAIM HERE
Mr Assist
Returning to more sensible prices, Kevin De Bruyne looks a good option to provide an assist against Tottenham’s erratic defence.
The Belgian international has provided 17 assists in just 23 appearances this season, with four of those arriving in the last six top-flight matches.
He’s created a whopping 11 chances over the last four outings, and has provided six assists in 16 games against Tottenham in his career. It could also, of course, go hand-in-hand with a Josko Gvardiol goal from a set piece.
- Kevin De Bruyne to provide an assist at 11/8 with William Hill – CLAIM HERE
