Brit holidaymaker, 26, sexually assaulted by fellow tourist at luxury Marbella hotel during party with friends
A BRITISH holidaymaker has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman at a Costa del Sol hotel.
The 27-year-old man was taken into custody after the woman, 26, said she was attacked at a luxury hotel in Puerto Banus near Marbella.
The hotel has not been named.
She alleged she was sexually assaulted during a party with pals after they had met at a nearby beach club.
The woman was taken to hospital to be examined by a doctor.
The suspect was arrested shortly afterwards.
Cops have not yet made any official comment.
It was not immediately clear this morning if the Brit man has already appeared in court and whether he has been remanded in custody or released on bail pending an ongoing investigation.
Earlier this month an RAF serviceman was arrested in Majorca after a Brit accused him of raping her at a four-star Magaluf hotel.
He was released and allowed to fly back to the UK.
But he remains under investigation, after his female accuser failed to ratify her police complaint in front of a judge.
Earlier this month, a Brit teenager was reportedly raped in a bar in Crete.
The 16-year-old girl was attacked after leaving her parents to go to the toilet.
After going through CCTV footage from the venue and other bars in the area, police were able to identify the man.
Greek cops launched a manhunt for the alleged perpetrator.
Another British tourist was raped in a horrific attack in Benidorm.
The woman was gang-raped repeatedly by three men after they snatched her from a pub.
The attackers were jailed for over eight years each after being found guilty of the crime following trial at a court in Alicante.
