THE Fortune Hotel has kicked off in a bid to rival BBC show The Traitors – but viewers have been left doing a double take.

Fans tuning into ITV‘s newest reality game show quickly spotted a familiar face among the contestants.

As each pair arrived at The Fortune Hotel, all hoping to win the ultimate prize of a suitcase full of cash, one man stood out.

Louie, who is taking part with his business partner, has already appeared on reality TV just two months ago.

In March, he took part in E4‘s The Underdog: Josh Must Win – which was fronted by Pete Wicks, Vicky Pattison and Amber Gill.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to recognise him and shared their thoughts on X, formerly known as Twitter.

One wrote: “No Louie from Josh Must Win?!”

Another added: “Lol Louie has literally just been on another reality show on E4.”

And a third penned: “Is Louie just doing the reality rounds?!”

The Underdog: Josh Must Win was a televised popularity contest that aired earlier this year. However, there was a twist.

All the players – including Louie – thought they were battling it out to be crowned The Favourite and win a cash prize.

But unbeknown to them, contestant ‘Josh’ was an underdog, fake character who had been deliberately planted among the line-up.

In a secret house next door, celebrities Pete, Vicky and Amber were busy plotting their own plan to ensure Josh won the show.

This time around, Louie and his pal Chloe were hoping to win £250,000 hiding in a suitcase in The Fortune Hotel.

Over eight episodes, the contestants – who are playing in 10 pairs – have to try and work out which case has the cash is in.

To begin, eight suitcases will be empty and one will contain the dreaded early checkout card, which leads to elimination.

The programme, which is hosted by Stephen Mangan, has already been compared to BBC One’s The Traitors.

Some viewers slammed the Traitors’ rival though, branding it a “budget” version.

Host Stephen, however, told virginradio.co.uk: “There’s intrigue, there’s drama. There’s a lot of comedy. It’s very funny.

“But there are alliances formed. People help each other or throw each other under the bus.

“The most joyous thing for me is the fact that they’re in pairs.

“So you get to see mother and daughter have a go at each other because they don’t think they’re doing it right, or best mates, their relationship either flourishing or floundering.

“It’s just a really intriguing, exciting, adventurous game show.”

Unfortunately, Louie and Chloe’s time was cut short on The Fortune Hotel and they were sent home at the end of the first episode.

Following a suitcase swap, they were left with an empty case, a checkout card and they were branded The Unfortunates.
