Fatal truck crash on I-270 in Montgomery Co.; traffic delays remain as officials investigate

A fatal truck crash on Interstate 270 on Monday morning prompted officials to close down the roadway in Hyattstown, Maryland, for around four hours.
Congestion remains after a two-vehicle crash happened on Interstate 270 northbound at Maryland Route 109 in Montgomery County just after 10 a.m., according to Maryland State Police.
All northbound lanes on I-270 reopened just before 2 p.m. One southbound lane of traffic gets by the crash investigation.
Some nearby exit ramps are closed on I-270, WTOP Traffic reports.
Amid the crash investigation, there’s also a closure in both directions of MD-109 underneath I-270, as of 2p.m.
Police are warning drivers to expect delays in the area.
The truck that crashed appeared to be carrying fuel.
