Lok Sabha election: Electors cast vote fearlessly for first time at former Maoist hotbed 'Budha Pahad' booth
Halkan Kisan, 37, voted for the first time at 'Budha Pahad', his own booth, in Jharkhand's Palamu Lok Sabha constituency. Budha Pahad was a former Maoist stronghold. It has been freed by security forces after three decades. Kisan, from Hesatu village, expressed enthusiasm as the area is now free from Maoist activity. A total of 771 people are eligible to vote at the booth.
