KKR Vs MI, IPL 2024: Jasprit Bumrah Does A Shoaib Akhtar After Dismissing Sunil Narine – WATCH VIDEO
New Delhi: Jasprit Bumrah imitated Shoiab Akhtar’s iconic celebration after cleaning up Sunil Narine with a peach of a delivery during Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2024 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens on Saturday. With this wicket, Bumrah reached 19 wickets in 13 games and has a golden chance to regain the Purple Cap from Punjab Kings’ Harshal Patel. The five-time champions have already been eliminated from the playoffs race and have nothing but to play for pride.
The incident took place on the first ball of the second over in the match. With the ball angling in, Narine misjudged it as the white cherry hit the stumps much to the delight of Bumrah and his teammates. The West Indian was left stunned. Following through on his run-up, Bumrah braved an Akhtar-like celebration with both his hands floating like a bird.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to field in a rain-curtailed game. Mumbai Indians are playing the same XI that recorded a seven-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mumbai on Monday. KKR made one change, bringing in Nitish Rana for Angkrish Raghuvanshi.
It will be a 16-over-a-side contest, with only one bowler allowed to bowl a maximum of four overs, while four bowlers can bowl a maximum of three overs each. The powerplay will be limited to the first five overs. A win for KKR will guarantee them a spot in the playoffs.
