Man, 22, charged with murder after woman, 66, stabbed to death near bus stop on busy London street
A MAN has been charged with murder after a 66-year-old woman was stabbed to death near a bus stop.
Officers raced to the scene in North London at around 11.50am on Thursday following reports of a knife attack.
London’s Air Ambulance and paramedics also attended following the horror in Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware.
But despite their desperate efforts the woman died at the scene
Her family have been informed.
Jalal Debella, 22, was arrested on suspicion of murder in the Colindale area on Thursday.
He has now been charged with the woman’s murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
The 22-year-old will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today.
