The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in several parts of the country, including Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, south Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, west Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya, and others. Delhi-NCR experienced a major thunderstorm and rainfall, leading to traffic disruptions and flight diversions. The IMD has issued alerts for West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir, while Delhi is under a yellow alert. Himachal Pradesh is also expected to witness rain and hailstorms. Unseasonal rains in Pune provided relief from the heat but also caused incidents of tree falls and fires.
