SANWO-OLU’S INITIATIVES IN HEALTHCARE FACILITIES MANAGEMENT EARN ACCOLADES
Continuous improvement and innovation in healthcare facility management under the stewardship of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, have garnered accolades, signalling a transformative era in public health administration.
The General Manager of the Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency (LASIAMA), Ms. Adenike Adekanbi revealed that Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration has spearheaded initiatives that prioritise innovation in healthcare infrastructure which has continued to earn commendations from various stakeholders.
Ms. Adekanbi disclosed this while responding to recent online comments praising maintenance activities at various Maternal and Child Centres (MCCs) across the State.
In one such accolade, Comedian Seyilaw, renowned for his wit on and off the stage, took a break from the spotlight to shine a light on commendable maintenance efforts at the Maternal and Child Centre in Eti-Osa, Lagos.
Using his X handle (@seyilaw1), the entertainer showcased the often unsung heroes behind the scenes, saying the MCC, a critical hub for maternal and child healthcare, is renowned for its pristine condition which is a testament to the diligent work of the maintenance team.
It must be noted that Lexicon Integrated, the Facility Management Company entrusted with the maintenance duties by the Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency (LASIAMA), has been pivotal in upholding the standards of hygiene and functionality at the Centre.
Their dedication to excellence has not gone unnoticed, as Seyilaw’s commendation highlights the importance of their often-overlooked role in ensuring the smooth operation of essential health facilities.
The General Manager of the Agency, saddled with the task of managing various health facilities including the Maternal and Child Centre (MCC) in Eti-Osa, responded with pride and gratitude to Seyilaw’s commendation of the Centre’s cleanliness.
According to her, the endorsement from the renowned comedian via his X handle underscored the dedication and effectiveness of LASIAMA’s partnership with Lexicon, the facility management company entrusted with maintenance duties.
While appreciating Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s swift approval for the engagement of facility management contractors by LASIAMA, she noted that Seyilaw’s commendation of the cleanliness at the MCC Eti-Osa reflects a proactive approach to healthcare infrastructure management.
She expressed appreciation for Seyilaw’s recognition, emphasising the collective effort that goes into entrusting the MCC Eti-Osa to maintain its high standards of hygiene and functionality.
The General Manager reiterated LASIAMA’s commitment to upholding excellence in health infrastructure management. “The acknowledgement serves as validation of the tireless work invested in maintaining not just physical premises, but also the quality of care provided to mothers and children”, she stated.
Looking ahead, Adekanbi affirmed LASIAMA’s dedication to continuous improvement and innovation in healthcare facility management, adding that the commendations from Seyilaw and others serve as motivation to further elevate standards and efficiency in service delivery.
