Controversial rock legend stuns fans as he fires ENTIRE band line-up and replaces them with new faces in huge shake-up

ROCK band Puddle Of Mudd have found themselves looking a bit fresh this past week after the lead singer turned up with a brand new band.

Wes Scantlin, the band’s lead singer, has seemingly axed his entire band in favour of a brand new line-up.

The band have been active since 1991 – and had kept the same line-up since 2014[/caption]

Puddle Of Mudd – whose hits include She Hates Me and Blurry –appeared on stage at the Thibodaux Firemen’s Fair in Los Angeles on May 4th.

Scantlin still at the helm, he was supported by Josh Gilbert on lead guitar, drummer Marc Slutsky and Michael Anthony Grajewski, who was in the band from 2012 to 2014, on bass as he promoted new album Ubiquitous.

Since 2014, the band consisted of Matt Fuller on lead guitar, Dave Moreno on drums and Michael John Adams on bass.

However, it seems Scantlin has axed the entire line-up for new faces.

Puddle Of Mudd has not addressed the line-up change or if it will be permanent or not.

Scantlin has become famed for his on stage meltdowns, walking off stage in 2021 because he didn’t like the lighting in his eyes, and had also yelled obscenities at the light technician.

In an interview he also slammed groupies for ‘keeping him up too late’.

The switch-up comes less than a year after they faced another controversy, where the group was banned from a venue in Michigan after cancelling shows.

The Machine Shop was forced to refund all tickets to the two dates they were set to perform, and in an explanation blamed Scantlin specifically.

The statement read in part: “This is not a ‘due to circumstances beyond our control’ cancellation. This is 100% Wes. The Machine Shop, his band and everyone involved are very disappointed.

“We will not be postponing the shows as we are not ever rescheduling Puddle Of Mudd.”

Scantlin later claimed the gigs were organised without his permission.

His Facebook statement read: “I told my team at the time more than once that no shows should be booked without my authorization. I never agreed to these shows.”

  • 3 UK Top 40 Hits
  • #12 – Number in the chart album Come Clean reached

  • 4 members of the band at any one time

“In light of these circumstances, I have made the decision to take this time to regroup and make necessary changes,” he added, which could refer to the line-up change.

“It is essential to ensure that the future of my music career is built on a foundation of trust, transparency, and genuine collaboration.

“I am deeply grateful for your understanding, continued support, and patience during this transitional period. Thank you, Wes”

The group’s profile picture was changed to one of just Scantlin.
