After Sunday's ScottishPower PL2 game against Boroughmuir Thistle at New Tinto Park, SWPL Managing Director Fiona McIntyre will present the SWPL2 League Trophy to captain Elle Kane
Queen’s have had an incredible season. Having played 26 games, and with two games to go this squad have won 22 times, drawn twice and lost only two games. They have scored 91 goals, conceded only 20 giving a goal difference of 71.
Head coach Craig Joyce said: “We’re really excited for Trophy Day. It’s been a few weeks in the waiting for us, so we’re all really looking forward to it. I’m delighted that the players and staff will get to lift the trophy – it’s what they deserve for the work they have put in. I know everyone will have a great day, and we can’t wait to see so many of you there to join in the celebrations!”
Captain Ellie kane added: “It’s been a long, hard season for the team but one that we’ve enjoyed every single minute of. We can’t thank you enough for your support through the season and we are looking forward to seeing everyone at New Tinto Park on Sunday as we lift the SWPL2 Trophy. Its a moment we’ve been dreaming off all season, and to finally lift the trophy will be an amazing moment, both personally, and for the club.”
