Photos and video: Officers in riot gear clear out U of C encampment

Early Thursday morning, an encampment was set up at the University of Calgary to protest against the Israeli offensive in Gaza. Around 8:30 p.m., police officers in riot gear moved into the camp, beginning a 3-hour standoff against demonstrators.
