Slow tiles by Marazzi
Dezeen Showroom: Italian brand Marazzi has launched the Slow tile collection, which is designed to evoke a slow-living philosophy by reviving the look of terracotta.
The Slow collection combines the high-performance qualities of contemporary porcelain stoneware with the appearance of terracotta – the reddish-brown clay that has long been used for flooring and roofing.
The Slow collection comes in six beige and brown shades, which all evoke traditional terracotta through their colour and subtle mottled surface patterning.
The patterning makes the tiles look naturally uneven and handmade, and 3D Ink technology gives them a realistic surface texture.
The Slow collection comes in a natural or matt finish and is available in six formats, including one with a 20-millimetre thickness for outdoor installation.
A mosaic version is also available, featuring a pattern of small circular tiles.
