The Big Apple's most popular tourist attraction was called "overrated" and "stressful" by over 1,000 reviewers, the study revealed. The online learning platform Preply analyzed visitor reviews for over 80 tourist locations around the globe to rank the destinations.
Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, Germany, was ranked the second worst tourist trap. The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, followed behind it in third place.
On the other hand, Switzerland’s Lake Caumasee was named the world's least stressful tourist destination, followed by Uluru in Australia and Monastiraki Market in Athens, Greece.
