And if Jake has his way he’ll be turning his back on reality TV for good after landing his very first movie role.

Last night he attended the premiere of Bermondsey Tales: Fall of the Roman Empire at Cineworld in The O2, in which he stars alongside some huge names including Maisie Smith and Charlie Clapham.

While Jake admits he only had a small part, he hopes it will lead to bigger things.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, he said: “I’ve always wanted to be an actor, or get an acting role.

“I’ve grown up watching British gangster films and it’s my kind of era. I’ve had a lot of people say to me ‘you’ve done Love Island, you’re basically a wannabe’.

“When someone gives you an opportunity like acting, I’m gracious, I’m gonna take it. It’s my second film in the last year so I’m gonna take it and enjoy it. I like to play a character that suits me, not just to take it.”

Bermondsey Tales is a gritty comedy-drama set in the east end of London centred around criminal family the Romans.

It sounds like something you’d expect Danny Dyer to pop up in – and Jake admits the former EastEnders star is his acting inspiration.

He said: “My favourite film is The Business with Danny Dyer, so if I could do a film like that… Danny Dyer is my favourite actor of all time.”

Although being reunited with ex-girlfriend Liberty Poole in the All Stars villa led Jake to decide it was best to leave, he has no regrets about signing up for the show.

Jake said: “I don’t regret doing All Stars, it was very different from the first time, it wasn’t going to be the same.

“I couldn’t take anything in there, enough was enough and I just had to go. I went there for love and it didn’t happen. I did it three years before and some of the conversations this time just felt a bit forced.”

And it seems things are going well for Jake both professionally and personally as he confessed he has found love but refused to share more details.

He added: “Yeah, I am dating – no comment. But I’ve got someone special.”
