Amar'e Marshall to return to UAlbany

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) -- Just because a player puts their name in the transfer portal, that doesn't mean they're as good as gone. The UAlbany men's basketball team landed an impact player in the portal on Thursday, and it just so happens he's one of their own.

Redshirt sophomore Amar'e Marshall withdrew his name from the transfer portal on Thursday. Marshall was second in the team in scoring last season, behind Sebastian Thomas, averaging 16.7 points to go along with five rebounds per game. Thomas also entered his name in the transfer portal earlier this offseason, going back to the University of Rhode Island.

Marshall made the America East All-Conference Third Team last season.
